“You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!”

Today, our class celebrated leap day and did many fun activities! In the morning, we read a leap day book, colored leap day book marks, discussed leap day, and made leap day crowns. In the afternoon, we interviewed a fifth grade class (Ms. Jensen’s class) for leap day because the next time the first graders will experience a leap day, they will be in fifth grade. The first graders asked a fifth grade partner questions about fifth grade and what they were like in first grade. Next, they wrote a letter to their future fifth grade self, which I will hold onto until the next leap day and give it to them in fifth grade. Everyone had a great time!
