Today, we celebrated Valentine's Day in our classroom with our first grade friends. We had a fun day, which included: graphing Valentine heart candy, creating our own Valentine mailboxes, writing nice messages to each of our classmates, passing out our Valentines, and having a Valentine's Day party!
Also, this week, we started writing out "100 reasons why we love Brodnicki School" with our reading buddies. After we are finished, we will have a poster of 100 reasons why we love our school and class so much! One thing is for sure- Ms. Riplinger loves each and every one of you very, very much! Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
Welcome to the third quarter, first graders! This school year is flying by (probably because of all of the fun we're having) and we are almost at our 100th day of school!
Thursday, January 30 will be our 100th day of school, and we have many fun activities planned!
Before we get to our 100th day of school, your child will be bringing home their second quarter report card. At this time of the school year (mid-year), your child should be able to:
Please remember that you are welcome to check your child's progress on the parent side of our online gradebook, "PowerSchool". You child's username and password will be sent home again with their second quarter report card.
We have many fun activities coming up:
February is full of special days and celebrations! Valentine's Day was definitely a day full of excitement and fun. We tied in all of our subjects to Valentine's Day, where we: read many books about friendships, wrote notes to our friends, and graphed the amount of Valentine's Day candy hearts we had!
A few days prior to Valentine's Day, Room 117 was able to show our reading buddies in fourth grade how much we care. On our 100th day, we wrote "100 reasons why we love our reading buddies". The students were so very excited to give our LARGE card to our buddies. They were very grateful, and we felt very proud!
